Geological site and water resources

Surveys undertaken by hydro-geologists have revealed that the aquifer had several advantages:
First, it consisted of alternate strata of basalt, sandstone and fine sand: an ideal natural filter for SANNINE water.
Second, the plant was located above the village of Bkaatouta (altitude 1.500 meters) in a landscape that has not changed for centuries. Third, the source basin flowed beneath the limestone formations of mount Sannine (2.300 meters) as well as those of Kanate Bakiche (1.800 meters)

In order to reach the acquifer we had to drill several wells. The total daily output reached 250 cubic meters throughout the whole year at a constant temperature of 14 degrees Centigrade.

We could not have wished for a better geological setting.
Any harmful infiltration, either chemical or bacteriological was kept in check by the geological structure of the soil.

Moreover, flowing through these different geological strata, the water absorbed mineral salts indispensable to the human organism.

From the heart of the acquifer, water is channeled to the water bottling plant through stainless steel pipes. Thanks to this arrangement, the nutritional properties and purity of the water remain intact.
